Little miss Kinzley made her long awaited entrance into the world on March 22nd, 2018! Weighing in at 7lbs 4 oz and 19.5 inches, she is a perfectly beautiful and healthy little girl! Kiley did such a great job in delivery and is doing well too! Both ladies looking as fabulous as ever! Kinzley is just about 3 weeks old today and though she hasn’t met too many people just yet, she already has everyone she has met just wrapped around her tiny little finger. It’s easy to see why with how sweet she is and how well dressed this girl is! We can’t wait for you to meet her but until then be sure to send any referrals to her Aunt Terra or her Kimma, Kim Spencer! Don’t worry, it won’t be long before this precious girl is in the office helping us sell houses and helping people buy their dream home!
I first stepped foot in Edmond, OK in 2013. I arrived after driving 29 hours in my cramped ’94 Toyota Corolla to the front entrance of Oklahoma Christian University. Coming from the North West, I wasn’t sure what to expect of the people or culture of my new home but let me tell you I was not prepared for what warmly greeted me! I was caught off guard by how clean and neatly manicured the beautiful landscaping around the city was. I was caught off guard by how friendly and social everyone is- especially the drivers! My four years at school were so sweet and I felt so safe here, even walking around in the dark, enjoying the warm summer evenings! Now that I’m out of school, married, and looking for my first home- I’m beginning to view Edmond through an entirely new lens and I’m falling in love with it again for entirely different reasons! Last year, Edmond was ranked among the 50 best U.S. cities to live in and here’s why!
If you’re looking to move to Edmond, which I highly recommend, let us give you a hand in transitioning! Give The RED Team a call at 405.330.2626 if you’d like to learn a little more about the area and what it offers! From there we’d love to help you find your dream home!
It’s that restless time of year again where you’ve just finished Spring cleaning but something still feels so tired about your space. Until you get that nice tax return back you probably don’t want to be spending too much on updates so what’s a girl (or guy) to do? Never fear, there is a totally free and totally chic solution to your decorating woes. The best part is, you don’t even have to leave the house for most of these- which is great since you’re probably already there with the kids during the OKC Teacher Walkout (woop woop, we love our teachers!). So throw on your most comfortable pair of sweats and try your luck with these super cute, super free, Spring fixups!
First, begin by rearranging your furniture! This trick may seem obvious but it’s amazing the difference it can make! The beauty of it is that you can change it up once, and then twice, and then again until you like it! Have the kiddos help move around the furniture and they’ll be tired out before you know it and you’ll have a new layout you love! Mom (or dad) of the year!
Remember that coffee table you banished to the garage or shed or saw on the side of the road the other day? Just because it doesn’t have a brilliantly shiny finish doesn’t mean it wouldn’t breathe new life into your room! After all, shabby chic is forever. You’ll especially love this idea if you’re a fan of the farmhouse style decor!
While you’re out there rummaging around looking for that table- be sure to grab a handful of fresh flowers from the yard! Or prune some twigs with beautiful little leaves and buds! Just another free option that will add a little life, color, and dimension to your room!
Here’s another quick tip on dressing up your coffee table. Grab a serving tray or platter, set it on the table, add a few little knick knacks and BAM- instant trendy and cute centerpiece! This simple fix makes for an interesting and eye catching scene and it won’t cost you a dime!
This might not count as an update (unless your home smelled bad before) but it will only serve to make your home even more ready for spring without making you dive into your pockets. Cut up that one ugly orange that you can’t convince the kids to eat (or let’s be honest, yourself) and toss it into a simmering, shallow pot of water with some other herbs and spices from your pantry! A bay leaf, a dash of rosemary, a little vanilla, and that ugly orange and you’ll be cookin’! Literally! You probably won’t want to eat this ever but it will give off a fantastic aroma in your home! You can always do this on the cool Spring days and as it warms up just throw open the windows for a breath of fresh air!
EXTRA TIP: Alright, you caught me… this one does cost a little bit, but not much and it can make a world of difference! Buy a thin, decorative rug for Spring and Summer and put away the thick floor coverings you’d normally have on the floor during the Winter. You can find the thin rugs at a reasonable price and they’ll change the look of the whole room! Not to mention putting your normal rug in storage should eliminate some of the built up dust in that room!
Ah! Spring! A breath of fresh air and new life! We can’t wait for it to continue to warm up! In the meantime, we’ll be busily rearranging our furniture and selling houses! We’d love to hear about which tips you try! Good luck!
WOWZA! $3,000 SLASHED from the original price just like that! This home is so charming with all of its great features like well kept flower beds, beautiful tile flooring, high ceilings, and large fireplace! A great deal like this, you know this listing won’t be available for long! Schedule a tour with The RED Team or visit the open house happening this Saturday from 12pm-2pm! “AAUUUGGHHHHHHHH”. Do you hear that? That’s that blank wall in that one room in your home that’s been screaming at you for the last couple of weeks. You’re not sure what it needs but it needs something to shut up that incessant and irritating nagging that you hear any time you look at it. White walls are fine and especially nice to have around for the occasional and artsy selfie backdrop but what about the rest of the time you spend in that room without your camera out?
We’ve got your answer: a gallery wall! In case you haven’t seen this trend yet, it’s amazing and the name pretty much speaks for itself! It’s a great way to display your favorite decor and it breathes so much life into a room! Although it is a simple fix to a bland wall, it does take a bit of preparation. We want to break down tips to hang your gallery wall and some unique ways to style them!
Skip the frames and try adding a unique feature with a lot of texture! A basket gallery wall is such a fun and quirky way to decorate and you can find some beautiful baskets at second hand stores!
Another seemingly effortless and unique gallery wall we love! Scour old books and maps for this idea! This can be such a sentimental and important wall too where you can share where you’ve been, where you’re going, and where you’re from! Not to mention this could be a great idea if you’re on a budget!
Another non traditional gallery wall! We love it nonetheless! Sometimes I see the most gorgeous set of China at a second hand store or at a garage sale and it is DIRT CHEAP. Give it a proper home on your wall and hey maybe you can use it if you ever need to feed an army of relatives!
Three lovely new listings hit the market this week! If you’d like information about any of the above listings, click here or contact The RED Team at Keller Williams at 405.474.4242!

If you don’t love food as much as I do, you might not understand this but for gooood BBQ or donuts I’ll go just about anywhere- probably even move. Anyone from Oklahoma can tell you that it is one of those states that is just heavy laden with a bounty of mouth watering things to eat. Lucky for me, I don’t have to actually move states to get any of this decadence but I still have the enjoyment of a little road trip! To all my fellow Okies: if you haven’t tried one/all of these GIT ON IT, GIRL (or men folk) and if you’re not from the area, let me try to persuade you with this symphony of flavors to move to OK or at least come visit because you’re missing out!
For Your Sweet Tooth
Long day? Fabulous day? Breakup? Marriage? Just because! You don’t need a better reason or a reason at all to head to Holder Drug in Alva, OK for their famous Jack & Jill Sundae. This family owned pharmacy and shop has had its doors open since 1952 and has since continued to send out it’s Siren call of delicious, marshmallowy, and chocolaty goodness. Be sure to stop by and bury yourself in this masterpiece and have one for me too!
For Your Burger Tooth
I know I’ve got one of these… a burger tooth that is… that craving only a truly delicious burger paired with a glass bottle soda can satiate. Take yourself to either the Nichols Hills location or the one located on Lake Arcadia (sorry but that’s my fav one). Pile the kids into the car and take the scenic drive along the lake out to Pop’s by Arcadia and treat them to a soda and delicious burger! Just beware you might be there for a while choosing your soda as they have about 700 different kinds to choose from!
For Almost Everything Else
This one is for your history buff and for the fried chicken lover in your life. If you’re both of those things then this place is ESPECIALLY your scene. Take a detour out to Okarche, OK and visit Eischen’s Bar for an ice cold coke and the best fried chicken you’ve ever tasted. The fried okra and chicken rivals your mama’s recipe- I’m sorry, it’s just the truth… It’s REALLY good. And it should be! It’s been featured on several shows and has been honing in the recipe since 1896. You know it’s legit too because you have to seat yourself and they don’t take debit cards.
